The Drift

Our lives tend to move regardless of our attention…or lack thereof.

They drift.

Suddenly, we discover:

  • Recycling has accumulated
  • Grass cutting is overdue
  • We’re out of coffee
  • Work hours have increased
  • We haven’t taken a day off in a year
  • That report isn’t done
  • We can’t remember our last date with our spouse
  • We’re fatter
  • We haven’t called our parents in months
  • Blog posts are less frequent
  • We’re spending a lot of time on things that aren’t important

The fight against drift is an ever-present battle.

I know I’m drifting.

Are you?

Where?
